Tier -3 Private College

I’m a 2027 graduate from a Tier-3 private college, and honestly, I sometimes feel like I lost a lot of time during my college years.

I know I have the potential to do much better.

During my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, I regularly attended college. Slowly, my mindset also became similar to that of many students around me. I knew about DSA, LeetCode, development, and the skills needed for software jobs—but I was never consistent enough with them.

And the result?

Even today, I don’t feel fully confident in DSA.

I never really expected my college to provide me with a placement. I knew that, ultimately, I would have to rely on myself.

So I started trying for off-campus opportunities.

But that comes with another reality:

There are very few opportunities compared to the number of people applying, and the competition is extremely high.

Even when I try to reach out to people for referrals, most of the time my message isn't even seen. And if it is seen, there is often no reply.

It can be frustrating.

But I’m slowly understanding something:

Coming from a Tier-3 college can make the journey harder, but it doesn't have to decide the destination.

I still have time.

I’m focusing on becoming consistent with DSA, improving my development skills, building real projects, and applying continuously.
