Career Guidance

The path to figuring out your career.

Everyone has a picture in their mind, about who they will be after college, and we hate to agree but the image is mostly blurry;
Ever since getting into product management, a common question I am asked is How did you know? How did you decide?

So Here is the answer on it:

1. Stop Finding Your Passion. Start Collecting Evidence.
Try everything, In your initial college years try everything, don't decide what is for you and what isn't.
Most students are not confused. They are underexposed.

You cannot discover your path from YouTube videos, Instagram reels, or placement discussions. You discover it through doing.
Try for yourself, IMPLEMENT. (I cannot underline this enough, please implement)

2. Don't ask "What do I like?" Ask "What can I do repeatedly?"

Everyone likes product management when it's a LinkedIn post.
Everyone likes software engineering when they see the salary.

The real question is:

  • Can you spend hours solving that type of problem?

  • Can you tolerate the boring parts?

Careers are built on repeated actions, not occasional excitement.

Work on these two first, see what you are inclining towards and you will be closer to your answer.
