In the final year of my B.Tech.
I’m currently wrapping up my final year, and to be honest, I'm feeling a bit stuck about what my next move should be. I have coding experience, but I still feel pretty green and inexperienced.
With graduation looming, I’m trying to figure out if I should:
Grind DSA: Focus completely on data structures and algorithms to crack standard coding interviews.
Focus on Dev: Pick a specific domain/role and just build deep, practical project experience.
Go all-in on a startup: Develop my own startup idea and try to actively raise funding for it.
I'm terrified of trying to do all three and ending up mediocre at all of them.
For anyone who faced this exact dilemma during their final year: What did you choose, and looking back, was it the right call? Should I look for stability first or just take the leap on the startup while I'm still a student?
